Stocks Rally but Bank's Lag: Citi, BofA, JPMorgan

Stocks are off to the races today, all but the big bank stocks that are up less than 1%, including such leaders as Citigroup (NYSE:C), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), and JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM).

After dumping over 20% of its value, Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) may be a stock that can seriously help out your portfolio.  With economic recovery apparently underway (albeit slowly), Bank of America may be poised for a strong comeback.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down nearly 2% today at $10,163. Leading the charge are Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) and American Express Company (NYSE:AXP).

Bank Stocks Take a Beating -- Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) and Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) all suffered pretty heavy losses today.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) is having a tough day.  Apparently Richard Bove has lowered his price target for the stock.  Bove, the well-known banking analyst, says BAC is facing serious challenges. 

Bet Against the Big Banks with the SKF

Congress is kicking ass and taking names, its as if Colonel John Matrix is bringing the pain on the big banks for stealing his daughter. Only this time Matrix is waging his personal war at Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) and many more. Thus, if Matrix could be represented by one rogue security, it would have to be the ProShares UltraShort Financials (ETF) (NYSE:SKF).

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)  options volume is running 3X the usual, with 105,000 contracts traded and call activity representing about 71 percent of the activity.

According to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the iPad will run most of the 175,000 apps available for the iPhone. Of course, those apps were designed for an iPhone-size screen, so they'll appear in a much smaller window on the iPad. 

Monday Upgrades: BP and Abercrombie (NYSE:BP),(NYSE:ANF)
