If a famous hedge fund manager (George Soros) is buying gold, would you?  Queue up some shares of Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY), Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX), Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE:GG) or SPDR Gold Trust (ETF) (NYSE:GLD).

At some point, gold has to stop going up and then start going down.  Obviously that will hurt shares of Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY), Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX), Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE:GG) and SPDR Gold Trust (ETF) (NYSE:GLD). The question remains though, how much will gold go down when it starts?

Even after the amazing rally gold has been showing, many people are expecting it higher for December.  That will helps the likes of Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY), Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX), Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE:GG) and SPDR Gold Trust (ETF) (NYSE:GLD). 

Even though gold has made an incredible run, it may not be done yet.  Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY), Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX) and Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE:GG) are still worth considering as viable investments.  Gold reached a new record nominal high again at $1,148/oz and, as of Wednesday afternoon, was trading at $1,146/oz.

What an incredible day for the bulls but even better for shareholders of Priceline (NASDAQ:PCLN), Adobe Systems (NASDAQ:ADBE) and Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) which all hit new 52-week highs.

Thanks to gold nearing $1,100 per ounce this week various gold stocks are enjoying the ride.  Yamana Gold (NYSE:AUY) shares are up 13% this week, along with Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) up 12% and Allied Nevada (AMEX:ANV) jumping 15%.  Got Gold?

Gold is now steady and holding over $1,000 but shares of Yamana Gold Inc. (NYSE:AUY) Kinross Gold Corporation (NYSE:KGC), Goldcorp Inc. (NYSE:GG) have made their gains, today they are all holding steady.

Traditional investing approaches are not working with Gold as a hedge, why?  Try lack of demand and manipulation.

Gold can't even catch a break in this market thanks to the global selloff in commodities and the gold companies are feeling it worse, but could there be bargains in the bunch?
