In today’s edition of Running with the Bulls, we highlight three stocks with great momentum: Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE:PM), TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:AMTD) and Covidien plc (NYSE:COV).

The other day, we posted an article about E TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) being a takeover candidate for TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:AMTD).  Jason Schwarz makes a good point that a larger bank like Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) or JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) might be better suited for assimilating Etrade.

E*TRADE (NASDAQ:ETFC)

Shares of E TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) have been treading water to keep afloat at around $1.50 a share, poking its head just above t close at $1.53 per share today.  Although it seems there are rumors afloat that E TRADE could be acquired by TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:AMTD), and why not? 

TD Ameritrade Gets Two Price Target Increases

TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:AMTD) received two price target increases yesterday despite reporting a mixed bag on the earnings call. Barclays Capital increased their price target from $14 to $16 and JMP Securities from $17 to $19 yet AMTD shares lost 4% yesterday and are up 2% today. So what gives?
