Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC) helped rally the major indexes last month but after its own shares got up to $22, its stock price has cooled off close to 3% since July. INTC shares are trading at $20.73 today and if anything, its an opportunity to get in should the market begin to trade higher, not to mention it's a promising company.

Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC) shares gained 3.6% today and there's reason to believe that trend will continue as the stock closes in on its 52-week high.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)  options volume is running 3X the usual, with 105,000 contracts traded and call activity representing about 71 percent of the activity.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM)  reported a $3.3 billion profit for the first quarter Wednesday, even as its results were tempered by ongoing losses in consumer loan portfolios. 

American International Group, Inc. (NYSE:AIG)  Chief Executive Officer Robert Benmosche said the insurer is becoming less reliant on U.S. aid as it sells units, borrows from debt markets and strengthens operations it intends to keep. 

A report recently released by the Semiconductor Industry Association may help lift share prices of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE:TXN) and Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT). 

One option for a company to grow quickly is for it to be in an industry that has fast growing and changes rapidly.  Obviously the company needs to be a strong competitor to benefit in that climate, and if the stock pays a dividend to boot that is always a bonus.
