Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) appears to be forming a head and shoulders stock chart pattern.  This could spell doom for investors in Sears if the pattern completes historical trends for it. 

Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SHLD) shares hit a 'Head-and-Shoulders Pattern' today and if technical investing tells us anything, it would warrant caution to those holding SHLD shares.

Sears Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SHLD) shares are back in the $65 range on heavy selling, volume is almost 5x the normal activity and we just made it to early afternoon trading.  Sears reported a loss of 17 cents per share (excluding items). The Street expected the company to report earnings of 38 cents per share.

Sears Holdings (NASDAQ:SHLD) posted a surprise fiscal Q1 profit on the back of cost cuts and tighter inventory controls in the face of a weak market.

A rebound in Consumer Spending, if this keeps up, stocks can continue to climb. Consumer spending in the  Q1 09 increased 2.2% after dropping at a 4% annual pace in the previous two quarters.
