Gap Inc Falls, Now What?

The Gap Inc. (NYSE:GPS) shares got crushed Friday, ending the day down 17.5% thanks to a terrible conference call. Gap missed the quarter and the guidance -- big time.  Gap shareholders are saying 'crap' now that their holdings are 13.5% away from its 52-week low.  The Masters like the idea of buying Gap Inc. on the dip but we believe GPS will continue to fall.

The Upgrades: Safeway, The Gap and Google

Safeway Inc. (NYSE:SWY) was blessed with two upgrades today, one coming from BB&T Capital Markets and the other from Kevin Dann.  Both analysts upgraded to a BUY and set a price target of $27.

If you are like me, you remember The Gap Inc. (NYSE:GPS) for its relatively affordable clothing during your college years.  You had to pick up a few of their polo shirts and Gap jeans to impress the ladies.  Then there was also there fledgling offspring company, Old Navy, which became a juggernaut as it offered similar clothing styles for even more affordable prices, a key factor in making the college and school kids decide to buy.
