Yamana Gold Inc. (NYSE:AUY) reports Q4 earnings on Thursday (March 4th) and the Street is looking for earnings between 12 to 17 cents per share.  AUY is holding steady today up 1.7% at $10.92 per share.

Gold is range bound trading on dollar and euro weakness, should the trend start up then its time to go long Yamana Gold Inc.(NYSE:AUY),  SPDR Gold Trust (ETF) (NYSE:GLD) and Kinross Gold Corporation (NYSE:KGC).

Forget going long Yamana Gold (NYSE:AUY) or cream of the crop Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (USA) (NYSE:AEM), what if gold prices finally start to fall and these coveted gold stocks fall out of favor?  Short Gold buy going long the ProShares UltraShort Gold ETF (NYSE:GLL) has traded from $8.45 to $18.70 over the past 12 months.

Stocks are on fire today thanks to oil, commodities, gold and sales of existing homes increasing 10.1% in October, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Even though gold has made an incredible run, it may not be done yet.  Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY), Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX) and Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE:GG) are still worth considering as viable investments.  Gold reached a new record nominal high again at $1,148/oz and, as of Wednesday afternoon, was trading at $1,146/oz.

Thanks to gold nearing $1,100 per ounce this week various gold stocks are enjoying the ride.  Yamana Gold (NYSE:AUY) shares are up 13% this week, along with Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) up 12% and Allied Nevada (AMEX:ANV) jumping 15%.  Got Gold?
