New Highs for Priceline, Adobe and Goldcorp

52-Week Highs

What an incredible day for the bulls but even better for shareholders of Priceline (NASDAQ:PCLN), Adobe Systems (NASDAQ:ADBE) and Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) which all hit new 52-week highs.

Adobe Systems (NASDAQ:ADBE) hit $36.58 a share before ending up 5% at $36.45.  Today Adobe shares jumped along after Goldman (GS) upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral and setting a price target of $42.

Goldmans says Adobe (ADBE) is “a compelling investment case for Adobe is building,” including the coming launch of Creative Suite 5, which should be buoyed by a PC refresh cycle and OS upgrades from Apple and Microsoft. The anaylst believes there is a buying opportunity in the stock created by the uncertainty from the Omniture acquisition.

Priceline (NASDAQ:PCLN) is up 7.45% after hours to $186.70 after the company reported a Q3 adjusted EPS of $3.45.  Analysts were expecting an EPS of $2.90, thus Priceline is off to the races and next stop could be $200 a share.

Priceline's revenue for the quarter was $730.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $693.97 million. To make things even better, PCLN set Q4 EPS $1.06 - $1.16, versus $1.09 consensus.

Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) shares hit $44.41 today and finished the day at $44 even for a 6.7% gain.  Goldcorp keeps gaining market cap thanks to the rising price of gold and today it his a record high of $1111.70. Gold's increase came on top of a 5% gain last week on speculation that banks worldwide would begin buying more gold bullion as a hedge against the uncertainty of the dollar.
