Top Execs at BP May Get Vuvuzela’ed (NYSE:BP)

It seems New York-based video producer, Adam Quirk, is planning to stir up the pot with top execs at BP.  He plans to put some pressure on BP at their International Headquarters in London by hiring 100 vuvuzela players, you know those buzzing horns from the World Cup.

Quirk says from his fund raising page on, “BP is not feeling the pain they are causing in the Gulf. BP is spending millions on PR. In order to put a bit of public pressure on them, we plan to buy 100 vuvuzelas and hire 100 vuvuzela players off Craigslist to play in front of BP's International Headquarters in London for a one-day flash mob.”

Quirk is starting with a small requested budget at $2,000.  $1,000 is earmarked for the vuvuzela protest and the other $1,000 is intended for the Gulf Disaster Fund.  Quirk also indicates he will create a video of the protest.

Quirk also indicates, “Anyone who pledges $10 gets the satisfaction of knowing you just bought a vuvuzela that will undoubtedly frustrate some smug oil baron.”
